1st day....

So as far as a first day goes that sucked! I started out wrong, I really thought I had a plan, but I guess I didn't. Making my kids oatmeal before school and before I knew it I had tried the two youngest to make sure it wasn't too hot and then the two oldest to make sure there was enough sugar, How DUMB was that? I think I need a better plan! I live right down the street and around the corner from my biggest support group, (alot of you ladies) I am no longer on the other side of the country, I can make this work! But I need help! OK, pep talk time...

Ok, check to see if it is hot with your finger and let your kids tell you if they want more sugar. I did that at lunch, Ben didn't eat all his tortilla sandwich I made him so I finished it. I thought about it before hand and only put on one piece of cheese instead of two. The little things. You can do it. Tomorrow is a new day.

I realized yesterday... that without thinking I am always sticking things in my mouth. I hate throwing food away so I clean off my kids plates.. now I just have to let myself throw it out... I guess I'll try to imagine it on my behind instead... and then I'll realize it looks much better in the trash. Once yesterday I even took a bite of one of my children's snacks... after I realized I hurried and spit it out. All those little bites and tastes add up... It is hard.. but WE CAN DO IT!

We'll all have days where we feel like we don't start out right, or we'll end wrong, etc. Don't feel bad about it. One day never hurts. It's normal. At least you didn't write that you ate 10 oreo cookies or something like that. :)

I think we all start out a bit shaky. Thanks for all your support, It will be so awesome having you here this time. We will achieve our goals for sure, this is the year for all of us, I can feel it!! Remember the motto; "fake it 'till you make it, and just don't flake it!" LOL

It's so true as mothers, isn't it? Weren't we taught not to be wasteful? It's okay to move on even after breakfast. Put it behind you and make great decisions after that! You can do it! And we ARE here for you. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mindy! Like you said the other day, you are so used to just doing things like that for your kids, and those are the extra cals that add up with out even realizing it or sitting down for YOUR OWN meals!
